Japan Heritage Returns Denim Jacket
by Naked And Famous

The Japan Heritage Returns is a 14.5oz Unsanforized Japanese Selvedge denim with a slubby uneven texture. A result of low tension weaving techniques, and the use of uneven shaped Slub yarns. The yarn is rope dyed with indigo and due to the irregular shape of the yarn indigo absorption varies from section to section. Over time with wear, as the indigo starts to fade, a wide gradient of indigo becomes visible, and allows for a high contrast three dimensional textured fade.

    Naked And Famous

We are denim nerds. We use Japanese selvedge denim which is woven slowly and painstakingly on old shuttle looms. Why Japanese? Because they are the only people on earth who obsess as much about denim as we do. Japanese fabric has more character, higher quality and way more soul than modern mass produced denim, and as a result it ages and fades beautifully with wear and wash. We travel to Japan multiple times a year to find new fabrics, working with denim mills to develop crazy things like glow-in-the-dark denim, cashmere blends, raspberry scratch-n-sniff, reflective denim and rainbow fade denim.

All of our products are proudly cut, made and sewn in Canada. Always have been, always will be.
