Canada West Boots
Canada West Boots is a 100% Canadian own family business that was started in 1978 by the now retired William (Bill) Moorby. Graham Moorby is a third-generation shoe maker who has recently taken over from his father Ted, who was president of the company for the past 15 years. Graham’s Uncle Paul, Aunt Lisa, and Grandmother Donna Moorby have all been part of the company’s success over the past 40 years. All production take place in their Winnipeg, Manitoba factory using the Goodyear Welt process. This traditional and handcrafted way of shoemaking is unique in that all the upper and sole components are attached by stitching. The upper and welt are sewn to the insole and the sole is then sewn to the welt creating a high quality, durable boot.
