The new Legacy Collection from Reigning Champ pays homage to the year Basketball went global. The '92 Summer Olympics in Barcelona were the first Olympics to feature active professional players from the NBA. At first the NBA was hesitant to allow the sports biggest stars to go play overseas, since it has been seen as a pivotal point in spreading the love of basketball over the world. The USA olympic team featured players such as Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, and a freshly retired Magic Johnson. The team has been described by American journalists as the greatest sports team ever assembled and soon took the nickname of the "Dream Team".
